The Section B trail continues with grasslands and oak woodland, before following Agua Caliente Creek up into the chaparral-covered hills of the San Ysidro Mountains. After crossing highway 74, the trail ascends into the San Jacinto Mountains, covered in a conifer forest. The trail reaches a high point of ~9000 feet before beginning the long descent winding down the dramatically-shear north side of the mountains. The section eventually descends to the Colorado Desert reaching its low elevation of ~1200 feet.
Trail Sections With Links to the Plant Checklists The Section Description name will be linked to the plant checklists as they become available.
