Flora of Cedar Spring Trail South of PCT, and PCT North of Cedar Springs, San Jacinto Mountains The Introduction for this page hasn't been written yet. The following gives some basic information about this checklist.
See:
- Notes on the Scientific Names Used At This Site and
- Information about the order in which the species are presented, and the links from the Scientific Name and Common Name.
An asterisk before the common name indicates a non-native species.
The family name is abbreviated to the first three characters in order to save space in the table rows.
The column with header CST gives the minimum number of plants, with a maximum value of 99 plants, seen on or near the Cedar Spring Trail, from the Trailhead on Morris Ranch Road to the PCT, as of 21 May 2018. See its separate page for the dates of fieldwork. The main intent of this column is to indicate the species for which we found very few plants. An entry of OT in the CST column indicates a species found only off-trail, with no abundance estimate yet made.
The column with header PCT gives the minimum number of plants seen on or near the PCT from a single day of fieldwork by Tom Chester on 15 May 2018. Tom only covered the first 1.8 miles north of the Cedar Springs Trail junction, along with the area around Peak 7123 and Palm View Peak and its southwest side. For a more complete flora of the entire PCT section from the Fobes Trail junction junction to SR74, a distance of 14 miles, see The Flora of the PCT B6, Highway 74 to Fobes Trail junction.
