Flora of Cedar Spring Trail, Both North and South of PCT, San Jacinto Mountains The Introduction for this page hasn't been written yet. The following gives some basic information about this checklist.
See:
- Notes on the Scientific Names Used At This Site and
- Information about the order in which the species are presented, and the links from the Scientific Name and Common Name.
An asterisk before the common name indicates a non-native species.
The family name is abbreviated to the first three characters in order to save space in the table rows.
The column with header CSS gives the minimum number of plants, with a maximum value of 99 plants, seen on or near the Cedar Spring Trail, from the Trailhead on Morris Ranch Road to the PCT, from the union of all survey work on 30 May 2012 and earlier, with a few updates from 4, 13 and 17 May 2016, 15 November 2016, and 11 May 2018. The main intent of this column is to indicate the species for which we found very few plants. An entry of OT indicates a species found only off-trail, with no abundance estimate yet made.
The column with header CSN gives the minimum number of plants seen on or near the Cedar Spring Trail north of the PCT, from a survey at the non-optimum time of 28 October 2008 and another survey at the more optimal time of 11 May 2018.
Species with no entry in either column are from the PCT south of the Cedar Spring Trail.
