Bloom Reports from the Anza-Borrego Desert: ABDSP Visitor Center Area 21 February 2015

See Bloom Reports from the Anza-Borrego Desert: 2014-2015 for an introduction to this page. This is a special page that just gives the blooms in one area observed on one day. See also a more complete flora of this area which includes the plants not in bloom.

This checklist was compiled from a walk in the area around the Visitor Center (no plants in the planted area were included), and then to Flat Cat Canyon and Hellhole Canyon.

The Checklist follows the 2012 Jepson Manual Second Edition with only a few exceptions. The list below is sorted by Scientific Name.

See Information about the links from the Scientific Name and Common Name.

The number of plants in bloom is our best estimate of the number of plants we actually saw in bloom, up to a maximum of 99 plants per species.
