- Archeological site CA-SDI-10,158 (Hermsen/Ezell site) is recommended for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places. 167 of 250 structures are potentially eligible (the storage magazines) due to their original integrity of design and location. A historic district is recommended. All other buildings are to be placed on State Register.

- Letter, 13 January 1942, James Forrestal, Sec of Navy to Attorney General of U.S., asking for condemnation of 9,147 1/2 acres of land of Santa Margarita Ranch, to be used for ammunition storage facilities and buildings; total cost: $2,500,000. Due to immediate need for use in national defense, negotiation with owners is impracticable.
- Memo, 1 December 1941, from Myers and Haddock, contractors to Resident Officer in Charge, Naval Ammunition Depot re revised estimate of total cost
- Legal paper, Declaration of Taking, 15 Jan 1942. Navy is taking for $379,242.50 lands of Santa Margarita Ranch, including all water and water rights under the Vail Agreement of Dec 26, 1940, as recorded in the San Diego County Clerk's office. Judgement Book #15, p101, and Official Records. Also all easements listed: RR, electric, telephone, State Forestry, County road easements. All for $1 each.
- Memo, 16 January 1942, from Chief of Bureau of Yards and Docks to Chief of Bureau of Supplies and Accounts. Request for check to pay for 9,147.55 acres of land for Naval Ammunition Depot in San Diego County CA.
- Letter, 21 March 1942 from G.A. Lazar, Jr. to LCMDR J.C.Heck, enclosing Disclaimer prepared for signatures of Oscar Brudin and A.E. Brudin, tenants of Santa Margarita Ranch required to move from premises when government acquired title to the property.

- 14 June 1972, Release. Santa Fe's Fallbrook/Fallbrook Junction: ninety years old and 16.9 miles long. The undated picture shows a two car train with engine and caboose. The cars are loaded with lemons from Fallbrook. The location is near Lake O'Neill, possibly still on the Naval Weapons Station.
