This trail is called The Second Section of Nature's Canteen Trail by a sign just to the southwest of the Switzers Picnic Area turnoff from SR2.
Trail Conditions 30Jul99: Tom and Jane found the trail in good shape from Red Box to Switzers.
Oct97: Bob Meade said "The surface of the trail is taking a terrible beating in a number of places," in Southern Sierran, October 1997, p. 11.
