Flora of the Mt. Islip north slope and east-west ridgeline, San Gabriel Mountains

Introduction
The Flora

Introduction

This flora is for the north slope of Mt. Islip, up to and including the east-west ridgeline at the top from Mt. Islip to Windy Gap, for use in botanizing the trail from Islip Saddle or Windy Gap to the peak. It does not intentionally include species seen only on the south slope of Mt. Islip, although some of the vouchers with vague localities might actually be from the south side.

The Flora

See Information about the order in which the species are presented, and the links from the Scientific Name and Common Name.

The column #V gives the number of vouchers, truncated at a maximum value of 9, for this area, from a voucher search on 14 August 2016 of the Consortium of California Herbaria.

The column #Pls gives the number of plants on and in the area of the trail from Islip Saddle to Windy Gap.

The wet area species are all, or almost all, from Little Jimmy Spring.
