Introduction

This Devils Backbone flora is for the route from Baldy Notch to Mt. Baldy, and not the other Devils Backbone trail from Pine and Dawson Peaks.

Limber pine, Pinus flexilis, was removed from this list (the former #7 taxon), since fieldwork on 22 June 2013 failed to find any, and because it appears that the three vouchers of it from Mt. Baldy are either misdetermined or incorrectly georeferenced.

This flora has not yet been updated from other results from that fieldwork.

The Flora

The column Ar marks whether a taxon was present in the voucher list above 7500 feet elevation.

The column #V gives the number of vouchers on the Devils Backbone Trail and its immediate area, including west Baldy, with a maximum of 9 vouchers recorded in that field.

The column Tr notes species remembered as being seen after a hike in August 2004.
