Flora of the SR78 / Old Kane Spring Road Area, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park

Introduction
Checklist

Introduction

This is a start at the flora of the SR78 / Old Kane Spring Road Area, from The Narrows on the west to the Ocotillo Wells area on the east.

There are separate floras for The Narrows area on the west; Borrego Mountain on the north; and Harper Canyon and Northeast Vallecito Mountains and Adjacent Lower Borrego Valley to the south.

The flora has been compiled from the following sources:

  • iNaturalist was searched on 12 November 2018 for additional taxa, with none found.

To make the flora more complete, it currently includes 19 taxa found in a survey of the lowermost part of The Narrows, and five taxa found from a voucher search for the westernmost section of Old Kane Spring Road. When more field surveys are done in the targeted area, we'll delete any remaining species in this list that were not found.
