The Wave Water Park is at 161 Recreation Drive in Vista. Call 760-940-9283 for recorded info. Leavings messages with them is apparently haphazard - one person had to leave 3 messages before getting them to call back with further information. It is open on Memorial Day Weekend 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and then daily from June 7, 1997 through September 1, 1997 from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Weekend hours then resume through the end of September.
1998 admission is $9.25 for ages 7-59, $6.25 for seniors age 60 and older, $6.25 for ages 3 to 6, and free for children under 3. Parking is free. Lockers: $1. Life vest: $2. Double inner tubes for water slide: $5. Regular inner tubes and body boards free.
"Spectators" (adults watching small children, for example) are charged $2.25 in a peculiar way: you give them $9.25 and are given a bracelet and can come in and watch. When you leave the park you return the bracelet and they refund $7.00.
Thanks to Christie Bundy for supplying that info and other 1998 admission prices.
