Guajome Park in Oceanside

Guajome Park is in 2 nearby parts. The lake and hiking trails are at 3000 Guajome Lake Road, Oceanside. A "Nature Hike" is held on the first Saturday of every month at 10:00 a.m. Meet at Ranger Station in upper picnic area, in front of campground. Learn about native plants, riparian areas, and enjoy one of the best birding areas in San Diego County. Length: about 1 mile. Difficulty: Beginner. Parking is $1.

The Rancho Guajome Adobe is at 2210 North Santa Fe, Vista. Public tours every Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. House open for tours only. Group tours (over 10) by arrangement during the week. Cost: Weekend tours $1 per adult. Special group tours, $2 per adult. Class tours for students are free. Information and Reservations, 724-4082.
