The pictures below are of the basalt areas labeled in the following map, an enlarged version of the one presented here

The pictures were all taken from the lip of the Mesa de Burro from the point indicated. The following pictures show the vantage point, and also show the overall topography:



The basalt areas are approximately outlined in black in the following photographs, with numbers corresponding to the ones on the map above. I.e., we have not used GPS coordinates of the mapped basalt and georeferenced the pictures; Tom simply estimated by eye, using the mapped contours and landmarks in the pictures, to draw the contours by hand. The drainage is drawn in blue.
