Flora of Skyline Trail Area, San Jacinto Mountains

This flora has been made from two trips, one on 21 August 2007 by Tom Chester and Dave Stith and one on 31 August 2012 by Tom Chester, Dave Stith and Tarja Sagar. Both trips covered just the first 1.0 mile of the trail, down to the end of the Pine Belt.

The plant trail online was made only from the first trip, and has not been updated from the second trip, and so does not contain some of the species listed below. The second trip includes species found in areas away from the trail. The plant abundances given below include both on-trail and off-trail plants.

Species Checklist

Basic information about the checklist presentation and links:

A few species have qualifiers given in front of the scientific name, indicating that the species determination is not 100%. Notes on some of those species are given in the next section.

An asterisk before the Common Name indicates a non-native taxon.
