Introduction

The Truckhaven Rocks are beautiful isolated Badlands Formation Sediments named for their presence just north of the old Truckhaven Trail. They are the same formation as the rocks to the west, but have been isolated from them by erosion. For more info on this hike, see:

The flora is from:

There were only 22 vouchers that were possibly from this area, which contributed no additional species.

Checklist for Truckhaven Rocks Area

See:

An asterisk before the common name indicates a non-native species.

The column with label BW links to the photo gallery page for each species at Fred Melgert and Carla Hoegen's BorregoWildflowers site.

The column with header #Pls gives the minimum number of plants observed in the union of all the field surveys done here, up to a maximum number of 99. An iNat in this column indicates a species with an iNaturalist observations that we have not yet observed. An FC in this column indicates a species in the Carla Hoegen and Fred Melgert plant list for this area, that was not observed in surveys where abundances were estimated, and that does not have an iNat observation.

See also Carla and Fred's Plant List, which may have been updated more recently than this page.
